Make a beautiful wreath for your home
Come and join us for a fun & festive afternoon making your own beautiful, one-of-a-kind wreath for your home.
Tucked into our cosy craft studio, with the log stove roaring, and Christmas music playing, you’ll start to unwind as you learn to weave your own natural willow wreath frame. We’ll then guide you on a relaxing walk through our nature reserve, in the beautiful Wicklow countryside, where you will gather natural foliage and inspiration to decorate your wreath.
Then warm up with a glass of mulled wine and mince pies as you transform your willow frame into a gorgeous Christmas wreath using natural materials, foraged foliage and festive touches.
No experience needed… we’ll guide you through every step as you relax, get creative and enjoy making something beautiful for your home.
What you’ll experience:
Your afternoon begins in our cosy craft studio, where we’ll welcome you with a hot drink before introducing you to the traditional craft of willow weaving.
You’ll learn how to weave your own wreath frame from natural willow, with guidance from us throughout. There’s no need to have tried willow weaving before… we’ll show you how to work with the material and build your wreath step by step.
Once your frame has taken shape, we’ll head outside for a gentle wander through our nature reserve. Along the way, you’ll gather seasonal foliage and natural materials to use in your wreath, while enjoying a little time out in the Wicklow countryside.
Then back at the studio, it’s time for the best part… decorating!
You’ll have a selection of additional foraged and seasonal materials to choose from, including foliage, pinecones, dried fruits, cinnamon sticks and ribbons, and you can decide how much or how little you want to add.
While you work, there’ll be plenty of time to warm up by the log stove, enjoy a hot drink and tuck into some mince pies. And yes, there’ll be mulled wine too… non-alcoholic, but very festive!
There’s no one “right” way to decorate your wreath. You can keep it simple and natural, or go all out with the festive details… it’s completely up to you.

What you’ll make to take home:
By the end of the afternoon, you’ll have woven and decorated your own beautiful Christmas wreath, ready to hang at home.
Your wreath starts with a natural sustainable willow frame that you make yourself, which can be kept and reused year after year. You’ll then decorate it with seasonal foliage and natural materials, creating a wreath that is completely unique to you.
Who is it for?
Whether you’re looking for a festive afternoon with friends, or a creative treat for yourself, this workshop is a chance to step away from the Christmas rush and make something beautiful with your own hands. All of our workshops are suitable for absolute beginners, and no previous experience is necessary.
Workshops are best suited to adults and older teenagers (16+, accompanied by an adult), however family-friendly options are available for private bookings upon request.
We keep our groups small so the experience stays relaxed, friendly and hands-on, with plenty of guidance along the way.
Where and when?
Our Christmas Willow Wreath workshops are 3hrs long and run from 2pm – 5pm, and are held in our craft studio on our family farm in Newtownmountkennedy, Co. Wicklow. Anything else I should know?
As the workshop includes a walk through our nature reserve, participants will need to bring suitable outdoor clothing, including wellies or boots, a rain jacket and warm layers.
The nature trail includes some uneven ground, slopes and small obstacles such as logs, and the nature trail and farm paths are not currently wheelchair accessible. However, the workshop may be adapted to suit participants with additional physical needs, so please get in touch before booking if you have any questions about accessibility.
And don’t worry too much about the weather… our craft studio is warm and cosy, with a log-burning stove, blankets and plenty of hot drinks waiting for you when you come back inside.
Group bookings
We also offer private Christmas wreath workshops for families, groups of friends, hen parties and corporate groups, subject to availability.

Price
€100 per person, which includes all materials needed to weave and decorate your own seasonal willow wreath, as well as refreshments including non-alcoholic mulled wine, mince pies, tea, coffee and biscuits.
