Christmas Willow Wreath Weaving Workshops
Festive, fun, relaxing & creative!
Come and join us for a fun & festive afternoon making your own beautiful, natural wreath for your home. Tucked into our cosy craft studio, with the log stove roaring, and Christmas music playing, you’ll start to unwind as you learn to weave your own eco-friendly willow wreath frame. We will then guide you on a relaxing walk through our nature reserve, in the beautiful Wicklow countryside, where you will gather natural foliage to add to our selection of foraged foliage, pinecones, ribbons etc. to decorate your wreath. Then warm up with a glass of mulled wine and mince pies as you create a truly one of a kind Christmas wreath to hang in your home (and make your neighbours super jealous!).
What’s included?
- All materials and guidance needed to make your own beautiful decorated willow wreath from scratch. Your eco-friendly willow wreath frame can be used again and again for years to come.
- A relaxing guided walk in our nature reserve to gather natural foliage to make your wreath as individual as you.
- We will provide additional foraged seasonal foliage, pinecones, cinnamon sticks, dried fruit, ribbons etc. to decorate your wreath.
- Mulled wine (non-alcoholic) and mince pies (as well as coffee/tea and biscuits of course!) and tasteful, relaxing Christmas music (although we have the cheesy stuff too if you prefer that!).
Who is it for?
All of our workshops are suitable for absolute beginners, and no previous experience is necessary. Workshops are best suited to adults and older teenagers (16+, accompanied by an adult), however please get in touch for family friendly private bookings. Our group sizes are kept purposely small (max. 8) to make sure everyone gets hands on attention!
Where and when?
Workshops are 3hrs long and run from 2pm – 5pm, and are held in our craft studio on our family farm in Newtownmountkennedy, Co. Wicklow. For dates and availability, please follow the BOOK NOW button at the bottom of the page and select your preferred date from the drop-down menu.
Anything else I should know?
As the workshops include a walk in our nature reserve, participants will need to dress appropriately and bring suitable clothing (e.g. wellies/boots, rain jacket, warm layers). Our cosy craft studio has a log-burning stove, snuggly blankets and we’ll give you plenty of hot drinks and mince pies so whatever the weather, you’ll be sure to enjoy your visit to the Irish countryside!
Please note the nature trail includes some uneven ground, slopes, and travels over small logs etc. and the nature trail and farm paths are not currently wheelchair accessible. However, workshops may be adapted to suit participants with additional physical needs and we ask you to please get in touch prior to booking to discuss your needs.
Group bookings
We do take private group bookings (6 – 10 people), for families, friend groups, hen parties and corporate groups, which are available on request, subject to availability, and we can also assist with arranging transportation. For more information – please get in touch.
Price
€85 per person, which includes all materials you will need to weave and decorate your own seasonal wreath to take home, as well as refreshments (non-alcoholic mulled wine and mince pies, tea/coffee/biscuits). Prices are inclusive of VAT at 23%.
