Jewellery Inspired by Nature
Jewellery making workshop
Forget buying jewellery… come and create something that’s completely your own.
Spend the morning immersed in nature as we wander through our beautiful nature reserve, discovering the leaves, ferns and wildflowers that will inspire your design before choosing your favourite to turn into a one-of-a-kind fine silver pendant you’ll wear home and treasure for years to come.
This is far more than a jewellery making workshop. It’s an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with nature, and create something that couldn’t exist anywhere else. No two pendants are ever the same, each one capturing a moment in nature forever.
No experience is needed… we’ll guide you through every step in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, helping you design and create a piece of jewellery inspired by your own experience and crafted by your own hands.
What you’ll experience:
Your morning begins with a warm welcome and an introduction to the idea behind the workshop… that jewellery can be more than something you buy. A piece you create yourself holds something of you within it, carrying the memory of a place, a moment and a story.
Then we’ll head out into our beautiful nature reserve for a gentle wander guided by ecologist and silversmith Sophie, and artist Lucy. Along the way, you’ll discover the plants growing around you, learn about their ecology and the stories and folklore woven into them, and gather inspiration for your pendant.
Back at the studio, the hardest part begins… choosing which piece of nature you’ll turn into jewellery. You’ll lay out your discoveries, compare textures and details, and with a little guidance, decide on the one that feels just right.
Then you’ll capture its delicate details and begin designing your pendant from start to finish. You’ll decide on the shape, size and style of your piece before bringing your design to life using fine silver clay, with 1:1 guidance through every step of the process.
As your pendant takes shape, there is time to pause, enjoy some tea, coffee and cake, and take in the surroundings before returning to finish your piece. You’ll add your own finishing touches and leave with a pendant you designed and made yourself, on a silver chain ready to wear home and treasure for years to come.
And even though we all take the same path through the reserve, no two necklaces are ever alike… because each one carries the creativity and inspiration of the person who made it.
Don't just take our word for it...
What you’ll make to take home:
By the end of your time with us, you’ll leave wearing a completely unique, nature-inspired necklace, designed and made by you. Your fine silver pendant will be strung on an 18″ sterling silver chain, so you can wear it home.
Alongside your pendant, you’ll also take home an eco-friendly handmade keepsake box, decorated with natural materials gathered during your workshop, giving you somewhere special to keep your jewellery safe.
