Garden Wool – in aid of Gaza (UNICEF fundraiser)
€20.00
Looking for an eco-friendly way to mulch your garden?
We’re offering spare raw wool from our sheep in exchange for donations to UNICEF’s relief efforts in Gaza.
Each bag contains approximately one full fleece (around 3kg) – enough to cover about a 2m x 2m garden bed in a continuous layer. If you’re placing it around plants or shrubs, it’ll go a little further.
The wool comes in a reused bag similar in size to a standard-sized rubbish bag, easy to load into a car.
Wool benefits in the garden:
Wool helps retain moisture, suppress weeds, deter slugs, and enrich the soil as it breaks down. It also provides gentle warmth to plants and fits beautifully into a no-dig or permaculture approach. A natural solution – and now a way to support those in urgent need.
How it works:

🕒 Please give at least 2 days’ notice when booking your collection, and collect within 14 days of ordering.
🙏 In the past, missed collections have led to wasted or damaged products and a significant increase in admin time. As this is a fundraiser and we’re donating our time, we can’t reschedule if you miss your slot (if this happens, the wool will be forfeited) – this is the only fair way we can run it. Thanks for understanding and helping make this run smoothly!

Description
100% Irish grown RAW Zwartbles sheep’s fleece – black/brown colour. This wool was hand sheared from our happy flock of sheep on our regenerative farm in late May 2025, and may contain some vegetative matter (e.g. grass, gorse etc) due to the nature of it being raw sheep’s fleece. It is not washed or processed in any way, and is ready to be used immediately as a garden mulch.
